Kyle and I were just looking for a place to eat lunch, any place... when we veered toward a diner we had never been to before. Gus (I think that's his name) is a young guy, seems to be part of the family that owns the diner, graciously handed us our acetate covered menus with the leather edges.

After a quick perusal of the standard diner fare, we placed our orders - but got Instant Validation from Gus:

"I'll have the cheeseburger platter" - "YES! Excellent!"
"I'll have the turkey club" - "VERY good! Of Course!"
To drink?
"Water, please" and "Large Pepsi" - "YES! Indeed! Thank you!!"

So over these simple, meaningless exchanges, we realized that simple acts can be recognized as more than that: Do everything well and it will be noticed.
